Arci Tavola Tonda was founded in 2009 by a group of enthusiasts with a strong interest in ethnomusicology, ethnochoreology, anthropology of the sacred and theatrical research: disciplines capable of making us understand the common origin of music, dance and theatre.
Arci Tavola Tonda focuses on the body, dance and rhythm as tools for creating relationships and human communities; CHORÓS is our educational offer dedicated to traditions of Sicily and Southern Italy, while the BALFOLK class will deal with European dances.
Our weekly  trad dances and frame drums techniques lessons are conducted as always by Barbara Crescimanno and Michele Piccione.
In the theatrical field, the training course curated by Cristina Coltelli focuses on COMMEDIA DELL'ARTE.
But Arci Tavola Tonda is also SPONDE SONORE, a world music festival that benefits from the contribution of the Ministry of Culture; a political and social space open to progressive and anti-capitalist demands; a meeting place outside of homologation; a performance hall open to the city; a creative tool with rehearsal rooms, recording room and lutherie.
